Just like Elissa says: “ma bihemmne, ana Elissa!” The theme of this party is reclaiming your bad reputation and showing up anyway. It’s about ignoring the rumors, refusing to be defined by other people’s stories. Let them talk, gossip, invent narratives, you’ll be too busy dancing and having a good time. Let’s celebrate Summer despite all the noise. ;)

WHO IS ADIRA?
ADIRA is a queer Arab* party and event series based in Berlin.
“ADIRA” is a queer slang term in Levantine Arabic, signifying someone with a strong presence who is capable and accomplished (ie: fierce!).
Founded in 2023 by Hassandra and xanax_attax, ADIRA emerged as a platform that celebrates Arab-pop culture while reclaiming queer memory, archiving diasporic experiences, and building connections across cities and communities. ADIRA amplifies SWANA talents and voices in Berlin and beyond.
Rooted in Arabic-pop nostalgia from the 80s, 90s, and 00s, ADIRA challenges orientalist narratives and tokenism by creating spaces for resistance and collective expression. Since its launch, ADIRA has hosted over 100 artists across more than 30 events, including club nights, drag shows, panels, community gatherings, and exhibitions. In 2024, ADIRA made history by launching the world’s first Arab* Drag Festival.
