• মm.’s sets pulse with percussion, rhythm, dance, and nostalgia — weaving soundscapes that trace musical solidarities across the Global South and its diasporas. As a founding member of Vienna’s own Spice Mixers, মm. has been cultivating queer, BIPOC-centered dance floors that celebrate connection, resistance, and joy.
• Yasmina Haddad´s essayistic dj sets challenge the normativity that our ears are constantly exposed to by bringing unheard voices, sounds and songs to the surface. The sets, often circling around a single phrase or a certain moment in time, rub salt into the wounds of the undying postmodern. With a call for active listening she spans a bridge between Lili Boulanger, Midori Takada, Faten Kanaan, Pamela Z, Maya Al Khaldi, Hildegard von Bingen, Jessica Ekomane, Sainkho Namtchylak, Moor Mother and many more.
• Zey’s creativity is a tool of liberation - their own and of others. They point to the deeper musical connections between diverse Black contemporary cultural landscapes while honouring their musical traditions. They’re mixing genres like footwork, jersey club, kuduro, gqom, jungle, baile funk, bouyon, batida or techno. They like to break beats, keep it fast and make people dance.

• MZTAY is looking to bring out feelings of nostalgia, joy, reflection and of course, the need to move. They play with many genres, including R&B, Jersey, Bounce, Juke, House, Hip-Hop, among others.
• dia's sets mark high energy, fun and genre fluidity that make you enjoy the moment and move your body. mixing different beats and sounds you'll hear everything between baile and arab funk, vocals/rap, trance, gqom, drums, bass, breaks and sounds of arab and south asian music.
• Kasho Chualan's work explores sound’s emotional and physical qualities through experimental performance and improvisation. Inspired by political unrest, human suffering, and nature’s melancholy, she uses prepared piano, electronics, and everyday objects to challenge traditional instrument use.
• Montaha is a DJ from Vienna with Egyptian roots. Her musical focus lies in breaks, dubstep and bass music, but her sets are also shaped by SWANA music and questions of identity. She blends heavy bass-driven sounds with arab melodies and rhythms, exploring how different parts of her musical and cultural background can resonate on the dance floor.
• jess_whereyouat
• Nee-She: musical journey began in her father’s home studio, Big Baffolo, where she was involved in his productions from a young age. She soon started recording her own ideas and writing lyrics to reggae rhythms. Influenced early by soul and reggae, these sounds still shape her unique style today, blending neo-soul and hip-hop.

All proceeds will be equally distributed to independent humanitarian and charity organizations supporting the purchase and distribution of basic needs for people who are displaced and/or otherwise affected by the ongoing conflicts (genocide, occupation, dictatorship…) in the region.
In Lebanon: @egnalegna an organization that prepares hot meals and distribute to displaced people in need, focusing on Migrants who have no access to shelters or emergency program funds.
In Palestine: @grassroots_gaza , a mutual aid initiative, working with Palestinian families in Gaza & Egypt, sustain essential needs including shelter, food, medicine, clean water & financial aid. They also support grassroots educational initiatives.
Iran - Through contacts we found a grassroots organization to which we can donate helping families of prisoners. (NOTE: due to the high levels of repression and political persecution of civil society by the Iranian government inside and outside Iran, in order to ensure their safety and the continuity of their work, we will not be able to publicly share the name of the organization/individuals we choose to work with.)
Raqsouna – Make Us Dance! is an event series that redefines and expands the culture of celebration, focusing on music and musicians from the SWANA region and beyond. It attempts to celebrate the BIPOC diaspora by providing an actively evolving, caring space.The music, spaces and vibe we create are intended to empower, foster self-confidence and forge a unique sense of connection.
