Set in the mid-1990s, only a few years after the First Intifada, the play explores a period of confusion and longing — torn between nostalgia for the past and dreams of a brighter future.
Join us for an hour filled with surprise and laughter, where you’ll meet the beautiful Madam Saray, Mr. Shalabi, the steadfast hotel owner, Miss Suad, the devoted public servant’s daughter, and Mr. Marwan, the lovestruck expatriate.

The Palestinian National Theatre – Al-Hakawati was officially established on May 9, 1984, in Jerusalem, as the first Palestinian theatre and specialized cultural center.
