Palestine Music Space - przestrzeni do warsztatów i nagrań w Ramallah w Palestynie.
An international band based in Berlin debuts on the Polish scene, presenting the solo material of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Ahmed Eid.
A portion of the concert proceeds will be donated to Palestine Music Space – a workshop and recording space in Ramallah, Palestine.
Ahmed Eid promotes musical traditions while raising his voice on social issues. As a masterful multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter, Eid builds bridges between alternative music communities, offering a unique perspective on the global music scene and a steadfast commitment to nurturing young talent. A prime example is his initiative "Palestine Music Space" in Ramallah – an educational and recording space for young musicians in Palestine.
"Aghani Akhira" أغاني اخيرة (Last Songs) is the title of Ahmed Eid’s debut album. The seven tracks tell true stories of fictional characters whose experiences Ahmed draws from his two realities – Palestine and Berlin. The album serves as a powerful statement against colonialism and patriarchy, expressed in a deeply poetic manner.
As part of this project, ILYF transforms the arrangements of Aghani Akhira into the sound of a full band, using a wide range of instruments such as oriental keyboards, electric mandolin, and percussion. The band will also perform material from their upcoming second album.
ILYF is a Berlin-based band founded by two co-founders of the pop supergroup Bukahara: violinist Daniel Schneider and bassist Ahmed Eid. They are joined by drummer Kuba and keyboardist Allysa Grace Martinez. For over a decade, they have been at the heart of numerous projects covering various genres and styles. Their concerts are an eclectic mix of music, where psychedelic grooves, traditionally inspired Arabic melodies, improvised adventures, organic funk jams, moody breakdowns, and sequenced sounds of Berlin’s electronic underground merge into a unique whole.
Ahmed Eid: Vocals, guitar, bass, synthesizer
Daniel Avi Schneider: Violin, electric mandolin, vocals
Allysa Grace Martinez: Keys, vocals, bass
Kuba: Drums, percussion, electronics
