ASHTAR Theatre invites you to attend the sixth performance of the new work "Guernica; Gaza: Visions from the Center of the Earth" on Friday, November 8, at 6 PM at the Dar Al-Nadwa - International Centre of Bethlehem, Al Madbaseh Street, Bethlehem.

This work was composed and produced during the genocide on Gaza in 2023/2024.

Inspired by Picasso's painting "Guernica," the play tells the story of five seemingly separate characters who are connected to one another, having emerged from a "hellish" war scene. The play delves, in its hallucinatory approach, into the impact of genocide on its victims and witnesses.

It explores themes of loss, hope, resilience, and the dehumanization of Palestinians, raising urgent questions about the interconnection between state-sponsored violence and its effect on the entire ecosystem.

This show was produced with the support of the Consulate General of Spain in Jerusalem as well as Global Giving.

This series of performances is supported by AFAC.
