This could be the time that we need love the most!
Join us for a debut performance of an original production featuring some beautiful love songs in a gorgeous, cozy wintery setting.
What do Beyoncé and Fairouz have in common? The Beatles and Abdel Halim Hafez? Or even Antonio Jobim’s Bossa Nova music and Dolly Parton?
We will be here and ready to meet you on February 14 to find out the answers to these questions and celebrate love in a beautifully choreographed production featuring a multilingual playlist of love songs crafted especially for this event.
The one-time original production will feature the legendary voice of Tamar Shawki, Maestro and composer Nizar Elkhater, Ahmed Darousha on oud and Anan Awad on percussion.
Tamar is the granddaughter of Amal and Salim Shawki, the much-loved Lebanese musical duo who performed successfully throughout the Arab world in the 1960s. Over the past few years, Tamar has returned to her Lebanese roots, and Arabic music has found a new and central role in her life with unforgettable performances of songs by Fairuz and Umm Kulthum.
