خالد، فتى فلسطيني في الثانية عشرة من عمره من إحدى قرى رام الله، يحلم برؤية البحر للمرة الأولى في حياته. عندما تنظم المدرسة رحلة إلى البحر، يبدو أن حلمه سيتحقق أخيراً، لكن عند الحاجز العسكري يُمنع من العبور ويُجبر على العودة، بينما يواصل زملاؤه الرحلة
رافضاً الاستسلام، يقرر خالد الانطلاق وحده في رحلة محفوفة بالمخاطر للوصول إلى البحر. في الوقت نفسه، يكتشف والده ربحي، وهو عامل فلسطيني يعمل داخل إسرائيل من دون تصريح، اختفاء ابنه، فينطلق للبحث عنه، مخاطراً بحريته ومصدر رزقه

For the first time in his life, Khaled, a child from a Palestinian village, has the
opportunity to go to the sea with his class. At the military checkpoint, he is told
that his permit is not valid and he has to go back home, while his friends
continue to the sea. Disappointed, Khaled decides to embark on a journey on
his own to the sea. When his father, Ribhi, hears about this, he leaves his
workplace and goes out to look for Khaled, even though he might be arrested,
because he does not have a permit to stay in Israel.
فاز فيلم "البحر" بـ 5 جوائز في حفل "أوفير" لعام 2025، بما في ذلك جائزة أفضل فيلم. أثار هذا الفوز جدلاً واسعاً، حيث أعلنت وزارة الثقافة الإسرائيلية عن سحب التمويل من الحفل بسبب تناول الفيلم لمعاناة الفلسطينيين ووجهة نظرهم.

Ophir Awards, including the award for Best Film. The victory sparked widespread controversy, as the Israeli Ministry of Culture announced the withdrawal of its funding from the ceremony due to the film's portrayal of Palestinian suffering and perspective.
