مسرح الحكواتي
The Palestinian National Theatre – Al-Hakawati was officially established on May 9, 1984, in Jerusalem, as the first Palestinian theatre and specialized cultural center. It was founded by the Al-Hakawati Theatre Company, and a year later, its administration was transferred to an independent Palestinian Board of Trustees that included a group of writers, artists, poets, and activists in the national and cultural fields.Since its inception, the theatre has sought to be a platform for cultural and artistic activities, working to develop committed, nationally oriented theatrical work. Its activities have expanded to include the preservation of Palestinian cultural heritage, rooting it within society, and encouraging creativity and artistic experimentation among Palestinian artists.
