Foragers moves between documentary and ction to depict the dramas between the Israeli
Nature Protection Authority and Palestinian foragers. With a wry sense of humor, the lm
captures the inherited love, resilience and knowledge of these traditions, over an eminently
political backdrop.
After “Wild Relatives” a film which focuses on the safeguard of the genetic diversity of the world’s agricultural. The Palestinian multidisciplinary artist Jumana Manaa presents “Foragers”. A film which explores how Israel’s ban on foraging wild Akouba and Zaatar everberated beyond the kitchen. Feautred in MoMA PSI show, 2022
